The "Europe schools": twinning for a Europe of citizens
200 participants from 20 towns attended the launch of the network "Europe schools", on 28 and 29 November 2008 in Saint-Alban (France).
The Europe schools
project was created by the twinning committee of Saint-Alban. Its main feature is that in each town twinned with Saint-Alban, citizens meet to debate issues linked to European integration.
The chair of CEMR twinning network, Janusz Marszalek
, was invited to the launch alongside Risto Raivio, head of the Europe for citizens programme
at the European Commission.
